About Us

Ink Pantry Publishing evolved from a social media group of creative writing students from The Open University, back in 2011. We wanted to create an inspiring and supportive platform for new writers. Three fellow students, experienced in marketing, design and publishing, offered to donate their services. Thus, Ink Pantry Publishing was born. Our anthologies, Sea of Ink (2012) and Fields of Words (2013) proved to be popular, and promotion of these publications was, and continues to be, supported by our online blog, which attracted interviews from many successful authors, including Joanne Harris, Ian McMillan, Andrew McMillan, Mike Garry, Rosie Garland, Rowan McCabe, Elisabeth Sennitt Clough, Kathy Reichs, Mike Gayle, Freya North, Sarah Rayner, David Moody, and Jim Bennett. Also to our delight, Open University tutors picked up on our activities, including Derek Neale, Joanne Reardon Lloyd, Ian Nettleton, Kevan Manwaring, Rhian Ivory, Mike Johnson, Emily Midorikawa, Romy Thomas and Shanta Everington. Our beautiful new look Ink Pantry has been redesigned by Inky veteran Berenice Smith. Our features, old and new, will include: Books from the Pantry, Inky Interviews, Inky Ideas, Inkspeak, Pantry Prose, Inkanory and our Poetry Drawer.
